EuroPython ticket types

For EuroPython 2019, we offer several types of tickets:

  • conference tickets
  • training tickets
  • combined tickets (conference + training)
  • extra event tickets (social event)

Please see the various sections below for details.

Conference tickets

Conference ticket sales phases

Conference tickets for EuroPython will be sold in four phases, with increasing prices closer to the event:

  • Early-Bird Rate: We will have 200 very cheap tickets available when we open up ticket sales. They offer an up to 50% discount over the standard rate and are usually sold out within a few hours. In 2018 early bird tickets were sold out in just 45 minutes. In 2019, in under 10 minutes.
  • Regular Rate: Normal rate tickets will be available shortly after the early-bird sales have ended and commence until either the conference sells out or a few weeks before the event.
  • Late-Bird Rate: Closer to the conference, we will switch to late-bird ticket rates, if we still have tickets left. These will cost around 30% more than the standard rate.
  • On-desk Day Passes: Shortly before the conference, we will make day passes available for those who only want to attend a single conference day and the sprints.

Please note that admission to the training days (July 8-9) is not included in the conference ticket price. We will have separate "Training tickets" for this later in May.

To simplify things, we will also have "Combined tickets" this year, which includes training, conference and sprint days (July 8-14).

Early-Bird Conference Tickets

We have the following three categories of early-bird rate ticket prices for the conference tickets (3 days of talks, 2 days of sprints):

Which ticket type do I need to buy?

We would like to encourage and trust you, to pick a ticket type that reasonably fits your personal situation.

If a company is paying for your ticket and you need a proper VAT receipt (the personal tickets do not include a company name), please buy a business ticket.

If you are using Python as a hobby or as freelancer and don't need a VAT receipt, the personal ticket is for you.

Finally, if you are a student/postdoc researcher working in academia, we have the highly subsidized student ticket for you.

Please note that we will list the ticket type on the badge to
make things easier for the registration desk personnel.

If you would like to support EuroPython, please consider getting a higher priced ticket. We assure you that your contribution will be put to good use. Thank you!

We would like to encourage you to buy your ticket as early as possible. This makes it easier for us to plan for the event and arrange e.g. the catering, print badges, etc.
